The ethics of gene therapy in lung transplantation research: the perspective of the recipient

Biography

Rebecca de Paus has an interdisciplinary background in law and biology and holds a Master’s degree in Legal Research. Her academic interests focus on health, human rights, and bioethics, particularly the societal and ethical challenges posed by emerging biotechnologies. Within LifeLUNG, she investigates the ethical and social dimensions of ex vivo gene therapy on lungs from the perspective of potential recipients, aiming to support responsible and inclusive clinical implementation.
