
Dr. Marta Soto Gimeno is an accomplished biomedical researcher with a PhD in Biomedicine (2023) and an MSc in Neurosciences (2018) from the Universitat de Barcelona, complementing her BSc in Genetics (2017) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
With over six years of academic research, Dr. Soto has actively participated in more than 10 projects dedicated to novel biomarker discovery and human sample biorepository collection. A key career highlight is her successful implementation of a Parkinson’s disease biomarker into clinical practice at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.
With 11 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Soto is currently a pivotal member of Omniscope's experimental laboratory team. Here, she is deeply involved in both R&D and creating robust production pipelines. Beyond her lab work, she leads national and international grant projects and supervises PhD students. Her current research focuses on ultra-deep profiling of the immune system to identify novel diagnosis and drug response biomarkers, as well as new therapeutic targets, particularly in oncological, autoimmune, and infectious diseases.
