Omniscope Wins AI Discovery Award: Strengthening LifeLUNG’s Mission to Decode Transplant Immunology

We are delighted to celebrate an exciting achievement from our LifeLUNG partner, Omniscope, which has been awarded the Nebius AI Discovery Award in Genomics.
This recognition highlights Omniscope’s pioneering work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, genomics, and immunology. As Omniscope states:
“Decoding the immune system is very hard and has not yet been achieved. However, once fully decoded and once we can see what the immune system sees, we have the keys to universal diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.”
At LifeLUNG, understanding how the immune system responds to a transplanted lung is one of our central goals. Immune-mediated complications, including primary graft dysfunction and chronic rejection, remain major challenges after lung transplantation. To overcome these challenges, we need to identify the molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive these immune responses and discover biomarkers that can predict complications before they become clinically apparent.
Having Omniscope as a partner significantly strengthens our ability to achieve these objectives. Their expertise in AI-driven analysis of complex biological data will help us better interpret the vast multi-omics datasets generated within LifeLUNG, accelerating the discovery of key biological signatures, predictive biomarkers, and potential therapeutic targets. By combining cutting-edge computational approaches with our clinical and translational research efforts, we increase our chances of identifying the right targets for intervention and gaining a deeper understanding of how the immune system reacts before, during, and after transplantation.
